HCNW provides the highest level of comprehensive cardiovascular care available. We emphasize compassion for our patients. Personalized attention is given to health care concerns, decision making, and a commitment to excellence in cardiovascular care. HCNW offers the following services:
Each patient at HCNW is assigned to an individual “primary” cardiologist who will oversee your cardiovascular care and provide continuity to your care. The primary cardiologist is typically the initial HCNW cardiologist involved in your evaluation. Whenever possible, your primary cardiologist will oversee your outpatient and hospital care. Occasionally, you may be referred by your primary cardiologist to another HCNW cardiologist for a specialized procedure. Emergency and after-hours care is provided by the on-call cardiologist. The cardiologists are part of the HCNW team that includes nurses, physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and multiple other employees. All physician assistants and nurse practitioners at HCNW have completed extensive specialized training in cardiovascular patient care. Under the supervision of our physicians, the physician assistants/nurse practitioners are a vital part of our practice.
Our main office is located in The Heart Institute in Spokane. It is connected to Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC) by a skywalk system. SHMC is a separate entity that offers in-hospital care and services such as percutaneous coronary interventions (e.g. coronary angioplasty and stents), cardiac surgery including coronary bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement, as well as one of the nation’s leading cardiac transplant and mechanical heart assist programs. SHMC is amongst the busiest and best cardiac programs on the West Coast.
In addition to our office in Spokane, HCNW has full-time offices located on the Northside of Spokane (212 E Central Avenue Suite 240), in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (700 Ironwood Drive, Suite 350), and in Sandpoint, Idaho (606 N 3rd Avenue).
